Bunnies FAQ:
- How can I add new levels to Bunnies?
-
To play levels that you have downloaded from the Bunnies Level Archive,
unzip the file and place the map file in the "Maps" folder of the Bunnies game.
(Linux users can place the maps in ~/.bunnies/Maps)
To create your own levels with the editor, please see the Tips for Creating Maps for Bunnies.
- I have Windows 95. Will Bunnies run on Windows 95?
-
Windows 95 is not supported by the game. This is because Bunnies is a network game,
and Windows 98 changed how Windows connects to the internet. So Bunnies is only supported on
Windows 98 and Millennium. In theory, if you have installed the latest updates to Windows 95, Bunnies
should work fine, but we offer no support for this configuration.
- I have Linux, but Bunnies will not run. Why?
-
There are dozens of flavors of Linux. Bunnies is designed to be compatible with the more popular
desktop versions of Linux. At the time of this writing, Bunnies is known to be compatible with RedHat Linux 8.0 or higher, Mandrake Linux 8.0 or higher, and Debian GNU/Linux x86 (sid only). Generally, Bunnies requires kernel 2.4 and glibc 6. If you have a different distribution of Linux, and you think we should support it, send a message to bunnies@blackholesun.com and let us know.
- I have Windows and my friend has Linux. Can we connect together and play?
-
Yes. All versions of Bunnies are compatible. You should be able to connect and play with any other
Bunnies player.
- This game looks familiar. Has it been done before?
-
Bunnies is inspired by the classic DOS based game
Jump N Bump by BrainChild Design. Or
you might say Bunnies is like Joust without the pterodactyls.
